Southern Maryland Airsoft Team

  The Southern Maryland Airsoft Team or SMAT as we refer to it as was founded in 2008 by Adam Buckingham and Brett Garner, they started off with just two members and now have over 50 today. Our ranks include high school students, ex-military, college students and several members plan to join the armed forces shortly. Our team follows the US army military rank structure and camo pattern along with airsoft specific ranks. Currently we are taking members ages 13+ please although we can make exceptions however do to some tournament rules some of the younger players may not be able to play in formal tournaments, but will still be able to play in every one of our team games.

 We recently picked up some members on the Eastern shore of Maryland they are the SMAT Eastern Shore Division or ECD. Welcome Guys!

    This rank is reserved for the Senior Staff of SMAT. These include generals, colonels. lieutenant colonels, and captains. Essentially it is for our members who serve as the commanding officers of the team.

    This rank is reserved for our Lieutenants and our Sergeant Major whom serve as training instructors and makes and carries out all training plans including our boot camp. They also serve as a filter for questions and complaints so they can be handled before they get any higher. They is also relied upon by the Senior Staff for a number of other assorted jobs.

     This rank is reserved for our fire team leaders. They're responsibilities include making sure their team is healthy and fit to fight. Any complaints that their team has is directed to Alpha Squad's CO which is the Lieutenant.

    This rank is reserved for our regular sergeants, specialists and corporals.  Whose duties include helping the squad leader maintain the squads performance and keep morale up.

    This rank is reserved for our private first classes who once again assist keeping the squad fit to fight.

      This rank is reserved for our privates. Who's job is to listen and learn
