So your ready to go right? You've got the gun, the ammo, even the awesome camouflage tactical vest? Well before you come out guns 'ablazing with the rest of the Southern Maryland Airsoft Team (S.M.A.T). you'll need to get a few basics to get you started.
While airsoft is a lot of fun, you can't just grab a gun and start shooting, here are some basic rules that you will find on ANY legitimate airsoft league, team or even at a pick-up game. Please read these and make sure you can follow all of them before picking up and firing away.
Airsoft General Safety Rules
1. Treat every airsoft weapon as if it were loaded.
2. Never allow the muzzle to point at anything you are not willing to see destroyed.
3. Be sure of your target and aware of what is behind it.
4. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire.
5. Be sure your guns are never accessible to unauthorized and untrained individuals.
6. Never leave your airsoft weapons in plain view in public places where it may be mistaken for a real firearm.
7. Always carry you airsoft weapons in a proper gun bag or carry case.
8. Always wear eye protection.
9. Never remove goggles during a game.

3. “Bang Bang” Rule if within 10 ft. (if you are within 10 feet of an opponent you are to say "bang bang" and not actually shoot the player)

Here are the S.M.A.T. specific rules, along with what you need to do to join and get in the game! Please read all of these and make adjustments to your equipment if need be to meet said requirements.

*AEG Rifles or anything that is Fully Automatic may NOT exceed 450fps.
*Sniper Rifles (Either bolt action rifles or AEG's set on Semi-Automatic Only) may NOT exceed 600fps.
